Krudmart, the urban clothing boutique formerly located at 125 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo, and renowned for its unparalleled progressive style, has announced a change of ownership and its new exclusive status as an online-only establishment.
Krudmart is already live and open for business on the internet at www.krudmart.com . The seven-year old company, founded by Steve Kay, was purchased in November by Lance Kutrybala. Lance is a true visionary, with an eye for modern fashion and a respect for " 90's Culture ". He is also an inspiring actor and the Host of KrudmartTV.
"Things were dope back then because Urban Culture was accessible to everyone. Music, sports, movies, etc. all had an enormous amounts of talent back then. Everything thing in the 90's had to radiate cool. This mind set is the foundation for our current approach to Krudmart." Said Lance K.
Krudmart has also announced its new Brand Manager, SUNY Buffalo graduate Nate Peracciny. With his background in photography, video production, and event promotions, Nate will insure that the Krudmart name is promoted creatively and aggressively, and that Krudmart maintains high visibility in the public consciousness.
Veteran Krudmart associate Johnny Burgasser has been promoted to Operations Manager. "Johnny's been working tirelessly to optimize Krudmart's shipping department these past few months, as we segue into online-only sales," said Peracciny. "Without his dedication, Krudmart would not be here."
Longtime Krudmart fixture Erin Habes will remain the Krudmart women's buyer. In 2010, Erin and the Krudmart team will launch the new Lady Krud division of Krudmart.com. Lady Krud will act as a prominent and dynamic media platform to showcase the female voice in modern fashion and streetwear culture.
"The new Krudmart team has pledged to take the brand to the next level and is wasting no time getting things rolling," said Peracciny, who mentioned that the brand's immediate goal was to revamp the Krudmart website with a newly developed user interface and improved visuals, "to help the consumer with their purchase options."
Krudmart's website will spotlight revolutionary artists and creative groups (such as Dante Ross, Gabriel Urist, Ra the Ruggedman, and Frank151), inform shoppers of the newest trends, give sound to underground beats, and, in Peracciny's words, "generally be a Mecca of style, knowledge, and street culture." Companies such as Huff, Black Scale, Mishka, Benny Gold, Insight, and 10Deep are among the designers that will be promoted by Krudmart.
Another new initiative in Krudmart's media plan is KrudTV, an in-house webcast set to debut in mid-December 2009 with owner Lance Kutrybala in the forefront. Focusing on new brands, national events, and the underground art scene, KrudTV will serve as "the eyes of the future", according to Perraciny.
"Our change in ownership and our new focus on online sales represents a huge growth opportunity for Krudmart," Peracciny said. "We want to transform and develop into a dependable and mature company that does more than just sell clothes. Krudmart is our life."

I am a pop-culture addict. I blame my sister for raising me on MTV. I think being all anarchisty and rejecting television for 7 years really enhanced the impact it would have on me when I finally reintegrated it into my life. One thing that I love more than anything else is a dance video (dance movies, youtube instructionals, tvshows, dance-heavy music videos). Martial arts videos are a very close second (especially anything with either capoeira or Tony Jaa). I am currently obsessed by dance videos, and I want to share 3 that I'm particularly amazed by. Unlike my earlier posted video featuring the Jamaican Dancehall phenomenon "Daggering", in such a bizzare assortment as to be freakin hilarious, these are more serious. The first two are Felix Cane's performances at the pole dancing world cahmptionship. I think she could climb the pole using ONLY HER BUTT CHEEKS! The second is a group of dancers from an upcoming John M Chu web series "The Legion of Extroardinary Dancers" performing some truly stunning choreography on "So You think You Can Dance". Enjoy! Comment!
First off Mama wants to thank the Buffalo State College soccer team for helping me move about 40 pews @ the church today....so it begins MASS APPEAL this Friday.
I want my MTV, and i don't have a TV hahaha how funny. Just recently i've been craving to watch old episodes of House of Style, Real World (when is was real), and Fashion Television. All things that sculpted me into the fashion human being i am today. This article on Refinery29 just satisfied my craving in so many ways....reminding us of our past. Let's not forget.
